How is Feed different from a chat channel?+
Chat is fast and disappears; Feed is deliberate and stays put. Posts support polls, events, announcements, and pinning, and the bulletin board sidebar keeps announcements, birthdays, and resources visible. Use Chat for quick back-and-forth and Feed for things the whole team should see.
Can we control who posts announcements?+
Yes. Openbook has Owner, Admin, Member, and Viewer roles, plus per-room visibility. You decide who can see the Feed room and manage what happens in it, so announcements stay signal instead of noise.
Do people get notified about new posts?+
Yes. Openbook sends in-app and email notifications, so @mentions, comments, and announcements reach people even when they're not looking at the feed. Nobody has to refresh a page to stay in the loop.
